Philip A. DiGiorgio , ESQ
Phil DiGiorgio has over 27 years of legal experience. He is the Founding Member of the DiGiorgio Law Firm, PLLC, located at 258 Genesee St., Utica, NY and concentrates his practice in the areas of Estate Planning, Elder Law, Medicaid Planning, Special Needs Planning, Estate and Trust Administration, the Taxation of Estates, Trusts and Gifts and Business Planning.
Prior to founding the DiGiorgio Law Firm, Phil DiGiorgio was co-founder and the Managing Partner of Pierro & DiGiorgio, LLC.
Before entering private practice Mr. DiGiorgio served as an Estate and Gift Tax Attorney for the Internal Revenue Service from 1991-1999.
Mr. DiGiorgio is a member of the New York State Bar Association and its Trusts and Estates Section and has served as Vice Chair of the Section’s Estate Planning Committee. He is also a member of the Association’s Elder Law & Special Needs Section, the Oneida County Bar Association and the Estate Planning Council of Central, NY.
Mr. DiGiorgio has written and lectured extensively in the practice areas of Trusts, Estates and Elder Law.
He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany and Albany Law School of Union University. Mr. DiGiorgio was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1991 and is licensed to practice before all New York State Courts.
Sugundia N. Smith
Sugundia N. Smith is a Paralegal and Office Administrator for DiGiorgio Law Firm, PLLC. She is a graduate of St. John’s University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Legal Studies & Philosophy. Ms. Smith is a Licensed Notary Republic. She has three plus years of legal/administrative/clerical experience as well as many more years of exceptional customer relations experience. Areas of law in which she has had instruction include Law Office Management, Trusts & Estates, Business Law and Estate Planning.
